Donald Trump thanked his wife Melania during his Iowa victory speech.
“More important than Melania, I want to thank her beautiful incredible mother who passed away a few days ago.”
He said she is up in heaven, and got emotional.
“I just want to say, you are one of the most special people I’ve ever known.” He said her husband is ‘very lonely’ right now, but will get through it.
Former President Donald Trump recently expressed his anger at an anti-Trump Republican he saw “on Fox News” first thing in the morning — who literally just told CNN he’d vote for Trump over President Joe Biden if Trump’s the nominee via Mediaite.
When he’s not holding rallies where he generates headlines about parroting the language of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler or still thinking Obama is the president, or giving interviews along similar lines, Trump is a frequent poster to his Truth Social platform. While it lasts.
Those posts usually take the form of text rants with copious use of ALL CAPS WITH EXCLAMATION POINTS about things like “STOLLEN” elections. They can often be a window into Trump’s thinking.
Such was the case first thing Monday morning. Monday marks the first nominating contest in the Republican presidential primary, the influential (if not representative) Iowa caucuses.
The state’s early status affords its voters a chance to elevate candidates who might be getting crushed by a national frontrunner, even if they don’t win. Defying expectations in early states can be seen — or spun — as a win, like Joe Lieberman’s famous rallying cry of “Joe-mentum!” after a three-way almost-tie for third place in New Hampshire.
Trump began the day as he often does — by watching Fox News — but didn’t like what he saw when he apparently tuned in or DVRed this week’s edition of Fox News Channel’s Sunday Night in America With Trey Gowdy replay at 4 a.m. and saw New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu’s gob onscreen:
Just watched the guy, on FoxNews, of course, who ran for President, but never had the “guts” to announce that he was doing so. He was polling so low, including in his State of New Hampshire, that he correctly took a pass on formerly getting in. He wouldn’t have had a chance, and now he’s politically dead. His name is Chris Sununu, and he is the now very unpopular Governor of New Hampshire who endorsed Nikki “Birdbrain” Haley, who is seldom able to beat Crooked Joe Biden in the polls, and will never beat the Democrat Party in reality. Sununu is Chris Christie, without the weight. He does lots of television, and just spews out false fact after false fact. He knows Nikki is way down in her home State of South Carolina, just as he was to me in New Hampshire. She is an unwanted Globalist who is weak on the Border, and will always be willing to obliterate Social Security and Medicare, while at the same time raising your taxes and endangering you already under siege 2nd Amendment. MAGA!!!
