In an interview with Real America’s Voice streaming network, Noem acknowledged the speculation about her becoming Trump’s running mate and expressed her long-standing support for the former president.
Her endorsement during a campaign rally in September added fuel to the speculation about her potential role in Trump’s third bid for the White House.
Trump has openly praised Governor Noem, describing her as “fantastic” and emphasizing her strong endorsement during an interview in mid-September. Trump acknowledged considering her for the vice-presidential role or potentially something else, highlighting her positive impact in the Republican Party.
The other contender, Elise Stefanik, serves as the House Republican Conference Chair and has also gained attention as a potential running mate for Trump. “I THINK SHE’S FANTASTIC,” TRUMP SAID IN AN INTERVIEW IN MID-SEPTEMBER ABOUT HER. “SHE’S BEEN A GREAT GOVERNOR. SHE GAVE ME A VERY FULL-THROATED ENDORSEMENT—A BEAUTIFUL ENDORSEMENT, ACTUALLY. IT’S BEEN A VERY GOOD STATE FOR ME, AND CERTAINLY, SHE WOULD BE ONE OF THE PEOPLE I WOULD CONSIDER, OR FOR SOMETHING ELSE, MAYBE. WE HAVE A LOT OF GREAT PEOPLE IN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.”
