Fox News host Laura Ingraham recently aired clips featuring Trump administration officials to try to show that President Joe Biden’s Department of Defense has been purging Trump supporters via Mediaite.
On Tuesday’s edition of The Ingraham Angle, the host claimed U.S. foreign policy failures under Biden are attributable to a focus on transgender people in the military and his alleged removal of Donald Trump supporters from the ranks.
“To this day, after 13 U.S. personnel were left vulnerable, then blown to bits, Biden has held no one in his administration accountable,” she said, referring to the soldiers killed when Biden withdrew the last troops from Afghanistan. “But, of course, he was busy because his focus was on more important things such as advocating for transgenderism in the military.”
It is noted that curiously, the evidence Ingraham offered was an interview with a transgender Army Reserve Captain from June 2016 – when Biden was vice president and not commander-in-chief of the armed forces. The month and date were displayed on the screen.
After mocking the Obama-era “protocols” of paying for service members’ transitioning costs, she pivoted to an alleged expulsion of Trump supporters.
“And they also put new protocols in place to clear out extremists – meaning Trump supporters from the military too,” she said.The host aired two clips of Department of Defense officials discussing measures to crack down on extremism on Jan. 19, 2021 – one day before Biden and his administration came into office. The date was displayed on the screen.
