Pete Hegseth appeared on FOX News this week and vowed to fight on for his nomination by Trump to head the Department of Defense.
Hegseth addressed the Democrat and media smear campaigns against him, noting that the press has used anonymous sources to make the case against him in an effort to poison public opinion before he has even had a chance to speak at a confirmation hearing.
He also credits Donald Trump, saying that if the president can fight and overcome the noise, so can he.
Now that some of the RINO senators like Joni Ernst are coming around, perhaps Hegseth will get a fair shot.

“They take something and then they add anonymous sources and contortions and flat out lies, and then they try to try you in the media before you can even get into the doors with Senators.”
“This is where I give so much credit to President Trump. He’s got a backbone of steel. He never backs down. He called me and said, Pete, you keep fighting. And when he picked me, he said, it’s because I know you can do this. You’re going to have to be tough as hell. Stare these folks down and stand up for the change that needs to come to the Defense Department for our men and women in uniform.”

It’s easy to see why Trump picked Hegseth for this job. He should be allowed to bring about the change that the people clearly want.
