Former president Donald Trump launched another blistering attack via social media on Monday, November 27, taking aim at current president Joe Biden while invoking his predecessor Barack Obama’s name.
In a lengthy post, Trump noted that he has been sarcastically referring to Biden as “Obama” multiple times, which he claimed was an indication of others having major influence over Biden’s administration.

“Whenever I sarcastically insert the name Obama for Biden as an indication that others may actually be having a very big influence in running our Country, Ron DeSanctimonious and his failing campaign apparatus, together with the Democrat’s Radical Left “Disinformation Machine,” go wild saying that “Trump doesn’t know the name of our President, (CROOKED!) Joe Biden. He must be cognitively impaired,” Trump wrote.
He went on to assert “No, I know both names very well, never mix them up, and know that they are destroying our Country.”
This fiery social media rant picks a very public fight with both his predecessor Obama and his successor Biden.
Trump then listed a litany of policy grievances with the Biden administration, ranging from immigration to energy to the military and more.
He claimed Biden should take a cognitive test himself to evaluate why he supports what Trump deems “CRAZY things.”
In contrast, the former president stated he recently took a cognitive test as part of his annual physical examination and “aced it,” even boasting of a “perfect score” on previous tests administered during his White House tenure.
This appears to be a retort to the oft-mentioned speculation about his own mental acuity while in office.
Trump closed his lengthy post with an ominous declaration: “They are destroying our country.” This serves as a harsh rebuke of both Obama’s influence and Biden’s controversial policy positions in Trump’s eyes.
Framing Biden as a weak leader controlled by more liberal Democrats makes for a useful campaign narrative.
And singling out Obama is a tried and true tactic for riling up his political base – both Obama and Biden represent a continuation of policies Trump vowed to undo as president.
Even out of office, Trump continues wielding his significant platform and influence to oppose their administration.
What remains unclear is whether voters have an appetite for another bitterly divisive election pitting Trump against Biden in 2024 – or whether they will seek alternative leadership on both sides of the ideological aisle.
But this most recent social media tirade demonstrates Trump ramping up efforts to directly insert himself in that debate.
And intentionally provoking outrage is a strategy that, for better or worse, has undeniably worked for the former reality TV star in the past when vying for the nation’s highest office.
