America, since its inception, has been a place of opportunity for aspiring, high-skilled people. The geniuses and artisans of Europe of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries flooded to these shores, enriching the society in many cases and making invaluable contributions to American culture – from our culinary traditions to newfound architectural styles – that continue to be influential through the present day. This custom of selecting only the best and brightest is not anomalous to great nations throughout history. All nations are only as good as the people which compose them: thus, any worthwhile nation would desire to enhance the…
John Phillips / Getty Images Rupert Murdoch has lost a legal bid to change his family trust to protect the future of Fox News from his liberal children. The media titan, who is 93, wanted to change the family trust to hand over control of the empire to his eldest son Lachlan to ensure that his other children did not try and change its right-wing editorial slant. Yet according to The New York Times, which obtained a sealed court document of the ruling, a judge in Nevada has now poured cold water over his efforts. The Times reports: A Nevada commissioner ruled…
This article originally appeared on WND.com Guest by post by Bob Unruh Lower court said parental rights were not affected when teachers in stealth encouraged children to be transgender. The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday let stand a ruling that subjugates parental rights to school politics. The ruling that had come out of the 7th U.S. District Court of Appeals in a Wisconsin fight claimed that parental rights were not affected when schools secretly encouraged children to be transgender, so the parents had no standing to bring the case. Justices Samuel Alito, Brett Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas would have granted…
Credit: Photo: PA Department of Corrections Luigi Mangione, 26, has been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson late Monday night. The charges were filed just hours after Mangione’s arrest in Altoona, Pennsylvania, where he was initially detained on weapons and forgery charges. Mangione was arraigned and ordered to be held without bail during a brief court hearing in Pennsylvania. When asked if he required a public defender, he responded by asking if he could “answer that at a future date.” The charges against Mangione include forgery, carrying a gun without a license, false identification…
A video that is going viral on social media right now shows a little girl approaching an older man in a store because she thinks he is Santa Claus. The man has a beard and is wearing a dark red shirt, so it’s easy to see how the girl arrived at this conclusion. The great thing about it is that the man plays along, rather than dismissing the little girl. Her mother, who recorded the incident, can be heard in the background telling her daughter to let Santa know what they are leaving out for him on Christmas Eve. It’s…
Scott Jennings, the lone conservative voice on CNN, recently commented on Trump’s interview with Kristin Welker and his appearance on the world stage over the last week. Jennings notes that it feels to many people like Trump is already president because the country has been longing for strong leadership and that even the international community is responding to Trump’s presence. He correctly suggests that the country and the world have already moved on from Joe Biden. Transcript via Real Clear Politics: CNN HOST: I do want to touch on what you bring up really quickly before we go this weekend…
Pete Hegseth appeared on FOX News this week and vowed to fight on for his nomination by Trump to head the Department of Defense. Hegseth addressed the Democrat and media smear campaigns against him, noting that the press has used anonymous sources to make the case against him in an effort to poison public opinion before he has even had a chance to speak at a confirmation hearing. He also credits Donald Trump, saying that if the president can fight and overcome the noise, so can he. Now that some of the RINO senators like Joni Ernst are coming around,…
New York’s Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul is apparently planning to hand out stimulus checks to taxpayers in her state in order to help combat inflation. It’s difficult to see how a one-time check for $300 to $500 would help people who have been struggling financially for years now under the Biden economy but it’s… something, right? Of course, the ultimate irony is that this move could actually cause more inflation. Is Hochul just trying to improve her approval numbers? The governor’s office put out this press release: Money in Your Pockets: Governor Hochul Proposes Sending 8.6 Million New Yorkers an…
Susan Valdes A Florida State Representative has become the latest disaffected Democrat to join the Republican Party. Susan Valdes, a Cuban-American who recently won re-election in her constituency in West Tampa, wrote in a post on the X platform that she felt ignored by the Democratic caucus and that only by joining the Republican Party could she get her ideas across. She explained: I have spent my adult life fighting to give a voice to the people of my West Tampa home. I have done so as a Democrat partly out of habit – I come from a family of…
