George Conway, a conservative attorney and frequent critic of Donald Trump, has recently suggested that it’s time to evaluate the former president’s mental health.
According to a report by Raw Story on Saturday, January 13, 2024, this comes in the wake of Trump’s recent actions, including his promotion of a video from a well-known member of the Gambino crime family, which has sparked negative reactions online.
Conway, appearing on CNN, expressed concern over Trump’s endorsement of a criminal figure.
He stated, “Telling judges, committed to uphold the rule of law, that they should listen to a mobster.
You know, he is a sociopath.” Conway further emphasized the need to discuss Trump’s mental state, stating, “This is not a well man.
A man who would say this publicly and actually believe it, because he does, is not a well man.”
In addition to Conway’s concerns, Trump’s recent legal troubles have also been a topic of discussion.
The former president’s attorneys have been making claims of immunity before an appeals court panel, which have been met with skepticism.
The argument that there has to be an impeachment and conviction before there can be a prosecution has been criticized for leading to absurd results.
Trump’s interactions with Roger Stone, a longtime ally, have also raised eyebrows.
Stone’s recent comments calling for the assassination of two Democratic lawmakers have been seen as a reflection of Trump’s amoral character.
Conway, commenting on this, stated, “The fact we can even think it’s real tells you a lot about the people who surround Donald Trump.”
Trump’s legal challenges are not limited to these issues.
He has faced multiple legal challenges, including a civil fraud suit in New York City and allegations of election interference.
Conway, recalling a conversation with Trump in 2017, suggested that Trump has always had a fear of being prosecuted.
Trump’s recent actions have also included insulting and demeaning writer E. Jean Carroll, who previously won millions of dollars after a court found that she was defamed and sexually assaulted by Trump.
Trump has continued to deny these allegations and has lashed out at the judge in Carroll’s case.
In the political arena, Trump has turned on Vivek Ramaswamy, who has been accused of being Trump’s plant in the 2024 GOP presidential race.
Trump has accused Ramaswamy of deceitful campaign tricks and warned his supporters not to trust him.
Trump has also faced criticism for his contradictory filing in his D.C. elections criminal case.
He has requested sanctions for the Special Counsel while continuing to file motions on the docket, leading to accusations of hypocrisy.
