Donald Trump made a bold declaration about the first action he intends to take if he wins the 2024 election and returns to the Oval Office.
According to a report by The Conservative Brief on Monday, December 18, while speaking at a rally in New Hampshire, Trump stated that the “very first thing” he will do is end the Biden administration’s spending bills.
“As soon as I sit down at that beautiful Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, I will immediately get to work terminating Joe Biden’s wasteful and destructive spending bills,” Trump announced to the cheering crowd.
“We are going to stop the madness of trillions of dollars being flushed down the drain by an administration with no clue how to manage money.”
Trump heavily criticized Biden’s recent Inflation Reduction Act and other major spending initiatives.
He argued these bills have fueled rising prices and saddled American families with higher costs of living.
“The Democrats love spending money but have no idea how to spend it wisely,” Trump said.
“As soon as I’m back in charge, I will put an end to these insane bills that are bankrupting our nation and making everyday life unaffordable for hardworking taxpayers.”
In addition to vowing to halt Biden’s spending plans, Trump outlined several other economic priorities for his first days back in office.
He promised to lower taxes, eliminate burdensome regulations on businesses, achieve energy independence by ramping up domestic production, and bring back manufacturing jobs.
Trump also took aim at Biden’s record on border security. He railed against the current migrant crisis and pledged to restore order at the southern border.
“We had the most secure border in history under my watch,” Trump stated. “Biden has totally lost control. When I return as your president, we will again have a strong, impenetrable border within the first week. Count on it.”
While Trump remains the frontrunner for the 2024 GOP nomination, he still faces a slew of potential primary challengers.
Trump didn’t hesitate to critique Republicans he feels haven’t shown enough loyalty or aren’t aligned with his America First vision.
“We cannot trust the RINOs and weak Republicans who stand idly by while our country crumbles,” Trump warned supporters.
“When you elect me again, I will immediately start cleaning out the Republican Party of these disloyal members who have betrayed you and betrayed me.”
As Trump plots his return to power in 2024, implementing his political and economic agenda appears contingent on first winning back the White House.
While polls show Trump gaining ground on Biden, he still faces a difficult path to victory. However, Trump projects confidence he can and will defeat Biden if they have a 2020 rematch.
