With only six weeks remaining until the 2024 Iowa Republican presidential caucuses, former President Donald Trump asserted that his tenure from 2017 to 2021 was “one of the greatest presidencies” in the nation’s history
Speaking at a rally at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids on December 2, the ex-president stated that even his adversaries acknowledged that he “did very well” during his time in office, as reported by MEAWW on Sunday, December 3, 2023.
In less than three minutes of his speech, Donald Trump expressed his views on his time in the White House.
He stated that in 2016, the American people voted and confronted the individuals in the capital who he claimed had “looted” their money.
He stated that the election of an outsider as president was a prioritization of America, emphasizing the need to put the country first.
He highlighted that this had not been done for a significant period, but was achieved during his four-year term, which he attributed to the success of his presidency.
He also mentioned that even some of his opponents acknowledged the achievements of his administration.
“You elected an outsider as your president, and it was about America first, we want to put our country first. They haven’t done that in a long time, but we did it for four years, and that’s why we did so well. That’s why it was one of the great presidencies they say. Even the opponents sometimes say that he did very well.”
Trump condemned the present government for transforming the nation into a “more extreme and repressive” state and engaging in “an all-out war with each passing day.”
He assured the audience that he would elevate the country to new levels. The ex-president, who is confronting felony charges for attempting to overturn the 2020 election, has made statements that contradict the accusations.
He has been quoted as saying, “They tried to overthrow the duly elected president, rigged, and stole the 2020 election.
The White House hopeful who is a billionaire gave a speech that accused Joe Biden of using “government against his political opponents.”
CNN reported that Trump’s campaign launched two commercials in Iowa, one of which is an attack on Biden, while the other highlights past praise of Trump by the Florida Governor and fellow Republican presidential candidate.
