According to WLT Report, the former President of the United States, Donald Trump, criticized the Department of Justice (DOJ), accusing it of corruption and political control. He expressed concern over the DOJ’s actions against him, arguing that the legal cases are aimed at preventing his return to the Oval Office in 2024. Trump likened the institutional situation to that of a third-world country, where the DOJ is allegedly used to protect the political establishment and influence elections.
Trump accused the DOJ of being involved in efforts to sway election outcomes, stating that when the security apparatus of a country intervenes in elections, there is no real election but the installation of a specific candidate, resembling situations in third-world countries. He asserted that the DOJ, which he referred to as the Department of ‘Justice,’ is more focused on political control than justice.
The former President highlighted the cases against him as part of a strategy to keep him out of office and argued that if he dropped out, his legal troubles would likely vanish. Despite facing numerous legal challenges, Trump has not backed down and has announced plans for a complete overhaul of the DOJ if he is re-elected.
In particular, Trump pledged to direct a completely overhauled DOJ to investigate every Marxist prosecutor in America for what he described as the illegal, racist-in-reverse enforcement of the law. He emphasized his commitment to addressing what he perceives as a pervasive issue in the justice system.
This is not the first time Trump has mentioned overhauling the DOJ. In the past, he expressed dissatisfaction with the department, criticizing individuals like former Attorney General Bill Barr. Trump has consistently advocated for a top-to-bottom overhaul to eliminate corruption and what he sees as festering rot within the DOJ.
The former President’s comments come amidst ongoing legal challenges he faces, with over 90 charges across four criminal indictments. Despite these legal troubles, Trump remains a prominent figure in the political landscape, with significant support from his base.
