According to Mediaite, Fox News host Jesse Watters found himself in an unexpected and rather painful encounter over Thanksgiving, just two weeks after revealing on-air that he had “gotten rid of” his own dog. The incident occurred during a hike in a nature preserve when Watters was attacked by a woman’s dog.
Detailing the encounter on his show, Jesse Watters Primetime, Watters described how he encountered a woman and her “big dog” during a hike. He expressed surprise that the dog had swam in a pond despite the chilly weather and noticed the woman struggling to control the dog on a leash. As Watters tried to give her space, the dog bit him twice, nipping his groin and taking a chunk out of his hand.

He continued, “The dog comes by, and I’m trying to back up, just give her a little room– dog bites me. Twice. Nips my groin and takes a chunk out of my hand.”
Watters, showing the bite mark on his hand to the camera, humorously commented, “Thank God she bit me. She didn’t bite someone litigious like Judge Jeanine. She would have been tied up in court for a year.” Adding a touch of political humor, he claimed, “I could tell she was a Democrat because when I pulled into the preserve in my car, there was a Subaru Outback. Dead giveaway. Plus, she didn’t recognize me.”.
This incident took place just two weeks after Watters revealed on The Five that he had gotten rid of his own dog because it “didn’t work out.” During the discussion about his pet dog, he acknowledged, “We ended up getting rid of the dog that we got,” using the term “got rid of” as a euphemism. When pressed further, Watters simply stated, “Didn’t work out.”
The unexpected Thanksgiving dog bite added a humorous twist to Watters’ holiday, and he concluded the recounting of the incident by asking his viewers, “How was yours?”
